2008 SPRING FLING
VENDOR INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION
Welcome to the Museum of Bus Transportation's Annual Spring Fling, Bus Show, and Bus Memorabilia Flea Market, the largest of its kind in North America in years Last year's Fling brought us 17 flea market tables and over 350 guests. This year, with major industry investment and invitations to their customers and members, the Spring Fling will be offered as an "Industry Event" and we fully expect to greatly exceed both the 2007 attendance figures and the number of market tables. And, just as we did last year, there will be no Annex admission, parking, or shuttle fees to be paid by guests and food will be served for Museum donations only--beat that as a crowd pleaser
As an added attraction for 2008, we will have an Author's Table where folks might not only buy their favorite bus books but have their authors autograph them at the same time. We have 7 authors committed now including 2 new ones whose books will be out in time for this event. (See our web site.)
In fairness to all concerned, we ask that the following be observed:
Table space - with or without a table - will be $25.00 per space.
Registration for space is being taken on a first paid - first served accommodation. Space will be awarded to vendors from the front of the annex building to the rear, at least as far as we have space to offer. As fast as this Fling has been growing, it is entirely possible we will have to limit market space.
There will be no sales outside of the Annex Building or on the Museum property.
Vendors will be allowed to park one car or van (only) in a designated area at the Annex. All other guests and sellers must park at the main Museum building. There will be no parking along the entrance right of way into the Annex property or in front of the building on Saturday.
Vendors may set-up on Friday, June 6th, from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and use any door to enter the annex. Saturday set up will be from 7:00 AM to 8:30 AM and through the rear doors only. There can be no setting up after 8:30 AM and we request that vendors not take down their tables until after 2:00 PM. We do suggest that you might bring extra chairs for yourselves. Sales will be relegated to bus industry and bus collectible items only.
A valid PA Sales Tax Certificate must be visible.
